4. User License and Restrictions

MeloTools grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use this Service for image conversion, optimization, and related purposes. This includes personal use, business use, agency work, and any other lawful purposes. Whether you are a developer, agency, creator, or individual, you may use MeloTools free of charge. Under this license, you may not:

• Modify, copy, or reproduce any content, code, or materials from MeloTools
• Resell, sublicense, or charge others for access to MeloTools or its features
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code or algorithms

5. Intellectual Property Rights

MeloTools Content: All content on MeloTools, including text, graphics, logos, images, software, and code, is the exclusive property of MeloTools or its content licensors and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and patent laws.

Your Content: By uploading images or other content to MeloTools, you:

• Retain all ownership rights to your original content
• Grant MeloTools a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process your files
• Warrant that you own or have permission to use the content you upload
• Agree not to upload content that violates any third-party rights

6. User Obligations and Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use MeloTools:

• Illegal Purposes: For any unlawful activity or to violate any local, state, national, or international law
• Intellectual Property Violations: To upload, distribute, or process copyrighted, trademarked, or patented materials without authorization
• Malware: To upload, create, or distribute malware, ransomware, viruses, worms, or other harmful software

7. Disclaimers and Warranties

AS-IS Basis: MeloTools is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

Disclaimer of Warranties: We specifically disclaim:

• Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure

We do not warrant that converted images will meet your specific requirements or that the Service will be compatible with all devices and software.

8. Limitation of Liability

11. Data and File Handling

Temporary Processing: Uploaded images are temporarily processed and automatically deleted within 30 minutes. We do not:

• Permanently retain your uploaded files
• Access, view, or analyze image contents
• Share your files with third parties
• Use your files for model training or analytics

You are responsible for maintaining backups of your original files. MeloTools is not liable for data loss.

12. Termination and Suspension

We reserve the right to:

• Terminate or suspend your access to MeloTools at any time for violations of these Terms
• Suspend the Service without notice for security, legal, or operational reasons
• Delete your account and associated data if you violate these Terms

Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. Provisions that should survive termination include intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution.

13. Modifications to Terms

MeloTools may revise these Terms at any time. Changes become effective immediately upon posting to this page. We will indicate the last update date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

• Provide detailed information about the dispute
• Attempt to resolve the issue through good faith negotiation within 30 days

If informal resolution fails, either party may pursue formal legal action according to applicable law.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, or if not possible, severed from these Terms. All other provisions will remain in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MeloTools regarding your use of the Service and supersede any prior understandings or agreements, whether written or oral.

19. Waiver

MeloTools' failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. If MeloTools waives a breach, such waiver does not constitute a waiver of any subsequent breach.
